mirrors of waiting (2025)

printed with silk screen

“mirrors of waiting” consists of three silkscreen prints of the same image, each rendered in a different colour: black-and-white, red, and blue. The fragile structure of a house of cards is repeated across different chromatic layers, evoking shifts in time, emotion, and perception. Slight misalignments and the overlap of colours visualise the tension inherent in waiting — suspended between stillness and anticipation, reality and imagination.

The image acts as a mirror, reflecting the process of repetition and transformation within a single scene. Across the three prints, the boundaries between the original and the reproduction, and between reality and reflection, begin to dissolve. Within this unstable visual structure, waiting is not depicted as a static pause, but as a state of continual perception and inner change.
