A walkable mirror installation

Visitors could walk across the mirrored surface barefoot or in socks, discovering unfamiliar views of the building, hidden corners, and perspectives that usually go unnoticed.

At the same time, the floor revealed unusual views of one’s own body — images of the self that are rarely seen in everyday life.

A shift in position, a shift in perception.

The installation was shown as part of the Jahresausstellung 2026 of the Aladağ Klasse from 18–25 July 2026, under the exhibition title Der Boden ist Lava.

The candle sculptures shown in the installation also exist as independent works and are available for purchase.
